Azerbaijan-Serbia MoU on trade and investment cooperation between enterprises

The MoU was signed by Radoš Gazdić, the director of the Development Agency of Serbia, and H.E. Kamil Khasiyev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Serbia

BELGRADE, SERBIA ― The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, hosted the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, who came on an official visit to Serbia. The ceremonial welcome was followed by a closed-door meeting between Vučić and Aliyev, after which Serbian and Azerbaijani delegations held a plenary meeting.

As part of Aliyev's visit, seven bilateral agreements were signed. Vučić and Aliyev signed Joint Statements, as well as the Memorandum on the Establishment of the Council for Strategic Partnership.

Serbia and Azerbaijan, with the agreements signed today, are moving forward cooperation and relations at a higher level”, said the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and added that they discussed of issues such as energy transmission, military-technical cooperation, agriculture. President of Serbia said that he expects to travel to Baku in the next 20 days for a working visit, in order to continue discussions on several extremely important topics.

Memorandum of understanding between Development Agency of Serbia (RAS) and Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (KOBİA) was signed by Radoš Gazdić and H.E. Kamil Khasiyev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Serbia.

The signed agreement defines promoting of trade and investment cooperation between enterprises and in particular small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of Serbia and small and medium enterprises of Azerbaijan.
