Apr 14, 2026

At the “Wine Vision by Open Balkan” pavilion, more than 140 carefully selected wines and rakijas from Serbia are being presented to an international audience in Verona from April 12 to 15.

For the fourth consecutive year, Serbia is participating in one of the most prestigious and largest global wine fairs – Vinitaly. Within the “Wine Vision by Open Balkan” pavilion, visitors have the opportunity to discover over 140 premium wines and rakijas from Serbia, with the clear goal of strengthening the international position of domestic producers.

The selection of beverages was prepared by the Association of Winemakers and Winegrowers of Serbia and the Association of Rakija Producers of Serbia, in cooperation with leading domestic wineries and distilleries. Through expertly guided tastings, pavilion visitors can explore indigenous grape varieties, modern styles, and the export potential of Serbian wines and rakijas.

Minister of Agriculture Visits the Pavilion

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Dragan Glamočić stated in Verona that the participation of Serbian producers at the Vinitaly fair confirms Serbia’s increasingly strong international position in the wine industry.

He emphasized that Serbia’s participation through the “Wine Vision by Open Balkan” platform contributes to greater recognition of domestic production and opens new business opportunities for exporters. According to him, interest from visitors and international buyers in Serbian wines and rakijas has been growing year by year, confirming their quality and competitiveness.

During his visit to the pavilion, Minister Glamočić also highlighted that the state has provided significant incentives for winemakers and winegrowers, as well as a clear commitment to further improving the wine sector in Serbia.

In line with the regional concept of the initiative, wines from North Macedonia and Albania are also presented at the pavilion, further strengthening the regional identity of the wine offer.

Vinitaly, held since 1967, brings together more than 4,000 exhibitors and professional buyers from over 130 countries and represents one of the key global platforms in the wine industry. In such an environment, “Wine Vision by Open Balkan” continues to strengthen its international visibility. As a result, the number of Italian wineries participating in the fair in Belgrade grows every year, while this cooperation also ensures the arrival of professional buyers from the Vinitaly network.
