Why Serbia

In 2024, Serbia recorded a historic inflow of foreign direct investment, amounting to just over 5.2 billion euros. According to the credit rating agency Standard & Poor’s, the country achieved, for the first time in its history, investment-grade status.

This is further supported by numerous analyses and publications from leading global consulting firms (EY, fDI Intelligence, IBM, and others), which rank Serbia among the top investment destinations based on various criteria—most notably by the number of jobs created per project, taking into account the country's territorial size.

In the Republic of Serbia, domestic and foreign companies alike have access to incentives for direct investment under equal conditions. The rules governing the allocation of these incentives are aligned with EU state aid regulations.
