Minth Group Launches Europe’s First Mass Production of Humanoid Robots

Šabac to become a European production base for mass-produced humanoid robots through strategic partnership between Minth Group and AGIBOT

 

ŠABAC, August 29, 2026 – Minth Group today officially marked the launch of Europe’s first mass production of humanoid robots at its Minth Metal Parts Majur manufacturing facility in Šabac, marking a new step forward for Serbia in the development of high-tech manufacturing and entering one of the fastest-growing fields of the industries of the future.

The ceremony was attended by President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, Minth Group Founder Chin Jong Hwa, representatives of Minth and its partner company AGIBOT, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarović, representatives of the City of Šabac and the Mačva District, as well as representatives of the Development Agency of Serbia.

The launch of mass production is the result of a strategic partnership between Minth Group and Chinese technology company AGIBOT, bringing together Serbia’s advanced industrial infrastructure and the global manufacturer’s production expertise with technologies in physical artificial intelligence and humanoid robotics.

The first phase of the robotic production base in Šabac represents an investment of €20 million, while the construction of a Robotics Industrial Park in Inđija is planned for the next phase, with a total planned investment of €200 million. Upon completion of the project, the planned annual production capacity will reach up to 20,000 humanoid robots and robotic dogs, intended for markets across Europe and around the world.

The partnership combines Minth’s expertise in industrial manufacturing and its established production infrastructure in Serbia with AGIBOT’s technological solutions in humanoid robotics, artificial intelligence and robotic systems.

Producing humanoid robots at Minth’s existing facility will enable the new generation of robotic systems to be manufactured and developed in direct contact with real industrial environments. This will create opportunities for testing their capabilities in manufacturing processes and further adapting them to the needs of modern industry.

AGIBOT - Physical Artificial Intelligence Technology

AGIBOT Innovation (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in 2023 and specializes in the development of physical artificial intelligence (embodied AI), a technology that combines advanced artificial intelligence models with robotic systems capable of perceiving their surroundings, making decisions and performing physical tasks.

In just a few years, the company has evolved from a development-stage technology company into a manufacturer with the capacity for mass production of humanoid robots. AGIBOT launched its first factory in Shanghai in early 2024 and produced its first 1,000 general-purpose robots in early 2025. By mid-2026, the company had produced its 15,000th robot.

According to company data, AGIBOT delivered 5,168 humanoid robots in 2025, while in the first half of 2026 it delivered approximately 8,400 units, accounting for around 44% of global humanoid robot deliveries.

The company’s technological approach is based on the concept of “One Robotic Body, Three Intelligences,” integrating motion, interaction and manipulation intelligence. By combining perception, decision-making and physical control, robotic systems can perform increasingly complex tasks in real-world environments.

AGIBOT places a particular focus on the industrial application of physical artificial intelligence, including the development and deployment of robotic systems in real-world manufacturing environments.

Minth - From Automotive Manufacturing to Robotics

The launch of mass production of humanoid robots marks a new stage in Minth Group’s development in Serbia, expanding from automotive component manufacturing into next-generation technologies.

Over the past decade, Minth has established a strong manufacturing base in Serbia and today employs more than 2,000 people in Šabac, while the company is also developing additional manufacturing capacities in the country.

By introducing humanoid robot production, Minth is connecting its existing industrial infrastructure with one of the fastest-growing technology fields – physical artificial intelligence and humanoid robotics.

“We are very pleased that the Government of the Republic of Serbia has recognized the importance of this project and its potential for the development of high technologies. Today, we are marking the first phase of its implementation, but our plans for Serbia are much broader. In the coming period, we plan to expand our product portfolio to include unmanned aerial vehicles, batteries and other advanced technology products, with the aim of contributing to positioning Serbia on the global map of technology, innovation and artificial intelligence development,” said Chin Jong Hwa, Founder of Minth Group.

The next step in expanding Minth Group’s technological capacities in Serbia will be the construction of the Robotics Industrial Park in Inđija. The company’s owner announced that the groundbreaking ceremony is planned for mid-September, while the park will focus on the production of batteries, robots, unmanned aerial vehicles and other next-generation technologies.

The planned industrial park will further connect advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, robotics, unmanned systems and new energy technologies, with the ambition of positioning Serbia as an important hub for the development and production of the technologies of the future.

A New Step towards the Industries of the Future

The development of high-tech industries in Serbia will be further supported by the announced project of another Chinese company, specializing in the development and production of high-performance cylindrical lithium-ion battery cells.

The Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Municipality of Inđija and the Chinese company will sign a Framework Agreement in Inđija on August 31, laying the foundations for the implementation of the investment and the development of production capacities in Serbia.

The company’s battery cells are intended for a range of applications, including electric mobility, industrial equipment, drones, energy systems and robotic platforms.

The launch of mass production of humanoid robots opens opportunities for the development of new domestic supplier chains and cooperation with companies in electronics, software, automation, industrial equipment, components and robotic application development. At the same time, the project creates potential for the development of supporting technological activities, including data processing and artificial intelligence training for the deployment of robotic systems in real-world industrial environments.

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić thanked Minth Group Chairman Chin Jong Hwa for the company’s contribution to the development of industry in Serbia and emphasized the importance of new investments and partnerships for the country’s continued technological development. As he noted, Minth’s investments have significantly transformed the industrial landscape of Šabac and Loznica, while new company projects are also being announced in Inđija.

“We must not fall behind the major powers and we must adapt to the new technological era. The launch of humanoid robot production enables Serbia to compete with the world’s most advanced countries and opens a new era for our country. We hope that we will assemble 5,000 robots in Šabac, with a significant increase in employment and the development of new technological capacities. These robots will have a wide range of applications, from healthcare, agriculture and industry to other fields, and their production in Serbia represents an important step towards becoming part of the global development of the technologies of the future,” said President Vučić.

The launch of mass production of humanoid robots in Šabac represents much more than a new manufacturing activity. It marks Serbia’s entry into a new phase of industrial development, where artificial intelligence, robotics, advanced manufacturing and new energy technologies converge.

With the launch of mass production of humanoid robots in Šabac and the planned Robotics Industrial Park in Inđija, Serbia has an opportunity to position itself not only as a market for the technologies of the future, but also as a place where these technologies are manufactured, developed and exported to European and global markets under the “Made in Serbia” label.
